Factors Influencing Governance And Organizational Sustainability
Abstract
This research aims to identify factors influencing sustainability governance and to assess the effectiveness of sustainable governance strategies from economic, social, and environmental perspectives. Using a literature review methodology, this study collects and analyzes articles from leading academic databases, with selection criteria involving relevance to the theme of sustainability. The analysis results show that sustainability governance is influenced by various internal and external factors. Internal factors include diverse board composition, visionary leadership, effective sustainability management systems, supportive organizational culture, and transparency in information disclosure. External factors encompass regulatory pressures, industry norms, market demand, availability of technology, and social and political contexts. The study also highlights the importance of strategies and practices such as integrating sustainability into business strategies, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosures, stakeholder engagement, and business model innovation to support sustainable governance.
