Abstract

The Gaza Strip has endured a prolonged humanitarian crisis due to the Israeli blockade, ongoing for over two decades, compounded by recurrent military attacks, which intensified since October 2023. These conflicts have devastated critical sectors, exacerbating poverty and unemployment rates. Consequently, the majority of the Strip’s population relies on humanitarian aid, necessitating a fair and transparent distribution mechanism. This research highlights significant challenges in relief operations, including access barriers, ineffective coordination among organisations, insufficient data accuracy, security risks, and potential corruption. It examines technology’s role in enhancing transparency and equity in aid distribution during emergencies in Gaza.
