Transaction and Innovations in the Field of Commerce: A Special Study of the Banking Sector of North Maharashtra Zone
Abstract
This paper analyzes transactions and innovations in the banking sector of the North Maharashtra zone (primarily the districts of Nashik, Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar). It reviews recent structural changes, digital innovations (UPI, mobile banking, small finance / regional rural banks, fintech partnerships), and their impact on financial inclusion, branch/network distribution, credit delivery and transaction patterns. The study uses secondary data from district/NABARD PLP reports, RBI/district banking statistics and state economic publications, and synthesizes qualitative observations from SLBC/NABARD documents to produce a policy-oriented analytical assessment and recommendations for local banks, regulators and policymakers.
